Your local computer repair expert in Augusta, Maine.
Digital Duct Tape Computer Repair started the way most good Main-e businesses do — because somebody couldn't find what they needed anywhere else. After more than a decade of fixing computers for friends, neighbors, small businesses, and the occasional school IT department, Derek opened the doors officially to give central Maine a repair shop that's honest, fairly priced, and actually picks up the phone.
There's no call center, no scripts, and no "we'll get back to you in 3–5 business days." When you call, you get Derek. When you drop off your machine, Derek's the one who opens it up. When you have a question, you ask the person who actually fixed it.
Pretty much anything with a power button. We service Windows PCs, Macs, and Linux boxes, plus printers, networks, smart-home gear, and the small-business Wi-Fi setups that always seem to break on a Friday afternoon.
That said, our favorite jobs are the ones other shops won't take: the "ancient desktop that holds Mom's recipes," the small business server that runs the back office, the laptop your kid uses for school. We fix them because somebody should.
Three principles. We've held to them since day one.
Bring it in or describe the problem on the phone. We'll tell you what's wrong, what it'll cost, and whether it's worth fixing — before we touch a thing.
No jargon, no upsell, no "your motherboard is corrupted." You'll get a clear description of the problem, the options, and the price. Then you decide.
If something we fixed fails within 90 days, we fix it again at no charge. Period. We're a small shop, and our reputation is everything.
Real qualifications. Real insurance. No "we'll figure it out."

Over a decade of hands-on repair — from home setups to small-business networks. We've seen (and fixed) most things twice.
Your equipment is covered while it's in our care. We treat your machines like they're ours — because if you had a tape-stripped 1998 tower of family photos, you would too.
Based in Augusta, working all over central Maine. Drop off your machine, or we'll come to you.
